The house that stands on the property today was built in the late 1800’s, with the first apple trees being planted by the in the 1930’s. Today we grow apples, pears and peaches, pumpkins, squash, gourds, indian corn and mums. Sweet corn & summer vegetables  take up our slower season. We also sell Christmas trees. Our season has grown longer, now open from July through December. We made room in our country store for fresh cider, Amish noodles, jams and jellies and fresh donuts on the weekends. We make the area’s best fresh apples cider with an 1870’s antique cider press, reconstructed on site by Howard, our boys and some very good friends and family. We maintain about 20 acres of apples and 10 acres of peaches, supporting just over 2,000 trees.

Kapnick Orchards has been a family owned business for many years. It was founded in 1958 and in 2011, Kapnick Orchards celebrated their 50th anniversary. During the fifty years, Kapnick Orchards has seen many changes. Not only has the size grown, but also so has the product line. We have our own bakery and cider mill. Our product line includes many fruits and vegetables, and our own homemade fudge and apple butter. We also carry a great line of jams, candies and nuts. We press our own un pasteurized cider, which gives it a unique and fantastic flavor, but we also offer our cider treated with UV light as an alternative to pasteurization. Fall is a great time at Kapnick Orchards. We offer u-pick apples and pumpkins and we have wagon rides through our Enchanted Forest. Kids love to visit, pet, and feed our farm animals. The second weekend in October is our annual Apple Festival, which is a big event in the area. At the festival, we have arts and crafts and lots of entertainment and food. It is great fun for the whole family.
